Under our Business Advice and Support Partnership, East Sussex County Council Trading Standards offer the following training courses to local businesses on a cost recovery basis:
- 5-star Hygiene Rating and Food Allergens Due Diligence
- Customer Service Workshop
- Distance Selling
- Unfair Terms and Conditions
- Consumer Rights and Business Training
- Age Restricted Sales
- Letting Agents – Helping you to understand your responsibilities
- Consumer Contracts
- Hospitality Sector – Helping you to understand your responsibilities
How to book
All workshops are 3 hours and can be tailored to your business and team. We can host them, come to your premises or you can attend a session as a delegate – whatever suits you!

Drop-in events for personal assistants and other micro providers
If you are a personal assistant or a small business (micro provider) offering care and support services in East Sussex, you are invited to come along to one of our ‘drop-in’ events in June.
You can meet the teams and services which offer advice and support in areas such as business advice and training. Those attending include:
- Adult Social Care and Health Training
- Trading Standards
- East Sussex 1Space
- Independent Lives
- Equalities team
- Safeguarding Development team
The events are on:
05 June – Beeching Park Day Centre, Beeching Road Industrial Estate, Bexhill, TN39 3LG
10 June – St Mary’s House, Training Centre, St Mary’s House, 52 St Leonards Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3UU

You can drop in any time between 10am and 3pm and stay as long as you like.
Please note that refreshments will not be available at the venues.
