What happens at your ceremony?
Citizenship ceremonies are currently held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
The registrar will help you connect your computer with webcam, smart phone or tablet to the virtual ceremony.
You will need to show your Home Office invitation letter and photo ID during your virtual ceremony.
At your citizenship ceremony you will say an oath or affirm your allegiance to the Queen, and pledge to become a loyal citizen in the presence of the registrar. You will then be sent your certificate of naturalisation in the post.
