Renew or apply for a chaperone licence

Child performance licensing and chaperones latest

A range of activities and food is available this summer, free for children on benefit-related free school meals – see what’s on and how to book Holiday food and fun clubs.

Coronavirus (COVID 19): The safety of the children performing or in employment is paramount. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 we are following to the Government guidance. We are rigorously assessing applications for licences for children in entertainment, work permits and chaperones.

1. Complete your online training

Please note: The process to renew is the same as to apply.

Complete the process below to renew your licence before it expires. There is a charge to renew:

  • £35 for a volunteer chaperone
  • £75 for a professional chaperone

(A volunteer provides their service for free (apart from expenses) so their Enhanced DBS check is free of charge. The Professional receives payment for their service and therefore the Enhanced DBS will cost £44.00.

It is illegal to use your free of charge DBS certificate to earn any form of income.)
