Census 2021 - un-published

Census Day was Sunday 21 March 2021, but it is not too late to take part.

The census is a unique survey that happens every 10 years. It gives us a snapshot of all the people and households in England and Wales. This helps to inform decisions on services that shape our community such as healthcare, education and transport.

These services matter to us all, therefore everyone needs to complete the census. If possible, it’s important that you fill in your census questionnaire online. However, if you need some help with this, there are a wide range of support services including accessibility guidance and language support. You can also get help from census staff in the: contact centre over phone, in a web chat or on social media.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) will send you a letter in the post with an access code and instructions. Once you receive this, you can fill your census questionnaire in online.

If your household circumstances change on Census Day, you can let the ONS know.

Remember, if you, or anyone you know, needs help, there’s plenty available.
