National closing dates are:
- Secondary schools – 31 October 2021
- Primary and junior schools – 15 January 2022
If you apply after the stated closing date, the request will be dealt with after all on-time applications have been processed. This may affect your chances of securing a preferred school. Every year there are children who are not able to attend their nearest school because their parents have applied late. This can happen even if you already have older children at the school, so make sure you apply on time.
If you have moved into the area after the closing date you should apply for a school place as soon as possible. If you send us evidence of your house move at the same time we may be able to consider this application as being on-time as long we receive your form and evidence by:
- 31 January 2022 for secondary school applications
- 16 March 2022 for infant, primary or junior school applications
If you apply after these dates there will be a delay in our response.
If you are new to the system, you will need to create an account to start the process. You can save your progress and sign into your school account to continue your application.
When you submit your application we will send you an email to confirm receipt.
