Contact us about parking

Parking charges are set to rise on Tuesday 2 April 2024, for only the second time in 14 years.

Email the parking customer service team or telephone on 01273 335500 (select option 1) about any of the below.

  • to request parking enforcement
  • report a problem with a pay and display machine
  • general enquiries about parking in the boroughs of Eastbourne, Hastings or in the districts of Lewes and Rother (see also: parking in Wealden)
  • parking in a Lewes District Council car park
  • general enquiries about bus lanes

The enforcement team are available seven days a week.

If you telephone the team and no one is available to answer the phone, please leave a message with your name and telephone number and a member of the team will call you back within two days.

  • parking permits
  • parking suspensions

The customer service team are available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm.

Information about PCNs is available on our website.

If your vehicle has been issued a PCN, you can view the details of the PCN, the photographs taken at the time it was issued and pay or challenge it online. You will need to know the PCN number and vehicle registration to log in and manage your penalty charge notice.

Lewes District and County Hall

The County Council enforces the car parks owned by Lewes District Council (LDC) on their behalf. We do not make the rules for the car parks or set the charges. If you would like to contact someone about changing the restrictions or charges in one of LDCs car parks please email: Lewes District Council.

Eastbourne, Hastings, Rother and Wealden

We do not have any involvement with car parks in these areas. Any queries should be directed to the owner of the car park. Contact details are usually displayed on the signs in the car park. If you have been issued a PCN in one of the Eastbourne, Hastings, Rother or Wealden council owned car parks you will need to contact the relevant council to pay or challenge it.

Parking in Wealden has not been decriminalised, this means that we cannot carry out any on street enforcement in this area.

Enforcement of the existing on street restrictions is the responsibility of the Police. Enforcement in car parks is managed by the car park owner, in most cases this is the district council.
