Covid-19 and parking permits

We are aware of some problems using NSL Apply when using Internet Explorer (IE) to apply or pay for permits. Microsoft are discontinuing IE next year and are no longer supporting it. We recommend using a different browser. If you need any help with a permit application, please contact the: customer service team.

Who can use a business user permit?

Businesses with premises within a residential parking zone and tradespeople or contractors, for example plumbers and electricians, working within a residential parking zone.

Permits are available for either five or 10 hour periods, are virtual and linked to the vehicle registration number.

You will need to provide proof of where you are working in the permit zones and how long the work will take, this could be an invoice or quote. Contact the customer service team if you need advice about what documents we accept.

Where can I park?

Business user permits allow you to park in resident permit holder bays and shared use bays in the zone for which the permit is valid. The permit is valid for five or ten hours from the time and date that is scratched off.

Having a permit does not guarantee you a parking space.

How much do they cost?

  • Five hour permits – £5.20 each
  • 10 hour permits - £7.80 each

There is a £5 administration fee for processing refunds, which will be deducted from the refund amount. We can only refund the remaining full months.
