Parking permit charges for Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes

Parking permit charges for Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes changed on 1 July 2020.

This change to parking charges is due to concerns about air quality and follows consultation carried out in July 2019. By increasing charges, we aim to:

  • improve the air quality in towns
  • reduce congestion
  • encourage the use of other modes of transport

Lewes permit prices have differential pricing to encourage more low-emission vehicles. Eastbourne and Hastings charges changed to align with the discounts offered in Lewes.

Read more about the changes in our report to the Lead Member for Transport and Environment. The proposals for changes are on our consultation hub.
