Coronavirus: All Temporary changes to parking and permits during the coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak have now ended.

Next stage

Stage 5. Implementation. We are now preparing the detailed works orders for the necessary lines and signs. We expect installation to be around October 2021. Once all of the work has been completed the new TRO can be sealed and enforcement of the new restrictions can begin.

Completed stages

Stage 1. All of the requests received up to 31 March 2020 were assessed and prioritised.

Stage 2. Informal consultation took place from 18 September to 9 October 2020. Details of the consultation can be viewed on our consultation hub - Lewes parking review informal consultation.

Stage 3. Formal consultation took place from 5 March to 26 March 2021. Details of the formal consultation can be viewed on our consultation hub - Lewes parking review formal consultation.

Stage 4. Planning committee. All responses to the formal consultation were considered.
